Queenslanders Beware – Seeney Is ‘Acting Treasurer’

Campbell Newman has allowed the man who signed off on the outrageous 42% pollie pay rise debacle to fulfil the role of Queensland Treasurer for the next two weeks, Opposition spokeswoman Jo-Ann Miller said.

“How could Campbell Newman allow Jeff Seeney to have control over our state’s purse strings after his woeful handling of the pollie pay rise scandal?” Mrs Miller said.

“Who knows what he’ll get up to this time around?"

“This is the same man who told Queenslanders his pay proposal was cost-neutral, and then when caught out by the Opposition he said he had ‘no idea’ what the costs where.

“That’s hardly the calibre of person we need manning the Treasury benches."

“He’s also the bloke who’s happy to spend $162,000 on personal charter flights while at the same time his Government is sacking hundreds of experienced, front line nurses at some of our busiest hospitals."
