Donald Trump: CNN video shows President meeting with associates linked to Russia controversy in 2013

Updated about 2 hours ago

CNN has obtained exclusive footage of US President Donald Trump and several people connected to the alleged collusion between his campaign associates and Russia.
The video shows Mr Trump attending a June 15, 2013 dinner with his future business partners, the Azerbaijani-Russian family, and their publicist, Rob Goldstone.
Mr Goldstone is currently caught up in the controversy surrounding Mr Trump's eldest son and alleged Russian collusion in the election.

Donald Trump Jr released an email chain yesterday in which he said he would "love" to receive damaging information about his father's Democratic rival, Hillary Clinton, from Russian lawyer Natalia Veselnitskaya.
The video was shot in Las Vegas on the eve of the Miss US pageant, and documents a series of clips from that day, including more than three minutes of interactions between Mr Trump, the Agalarovs and Mr Goldstone.
Mr Trump signed a deal with the Agalarovs to bring Miss Universe to Moscow in 2013.
It comes just a day after the US President's eldest son used a Fox News interview to defend his meeting with the Kremlin-linked lawyer.
"In retrospect, I probably would have done things a little differently," he told Trump supporter and presenter Sean Hannity.
"For me, this was opposition research."

The President also defended Mr Trump Jr as "innocent" after the interview, describing the controversy as "the greatest witch hunt in political history".
Amid the uproar in Washington over the email release, Christopher Wray, who was nominated by Mr Trump on June 7 to replace the fired James Comey as FBI director, appeared at his US Senate Judiciary Committee confirmation hearing.
Mr Wray maintained the contents of those emails in the context of a campaign was FBI territory.
"Any threats or effort to interfere with our election from any nation-state or any non-state actor is the kind of thing the FBI would want to know," he told the committee.
The ongoing scandal also led a California Democrat to file an article of impeachment against the US President in a long shot bid to remove him from office.
Representative Brad Sherman accused Mr Trump of obstructing investigations into Russian meddling in the 2016 presidential election.
