The Murdoch family's bitter legal battle over the future of its media empire has been settled out of court.

Murdoch's son Lachlan will effectively keep control of the media group
after his siblings agreed to a deal following a court fight in the US.
The
Succession-style feud was sparked by a plan to change the Murdoch
family trust to hand control of Fox Corp and News Corp to Lachlan when
Rupert dies.
The plan required a
rewrite of the trust's "irrevocable" terms, which would have evenly
divided control of the companies between Rupert's oldest children.
James, Elisabeth and Prudence Murdoch opposed the move, and the dispute went before a court in Nevada last year.
