Abbott plans to scrap the Low Income Superannuation Contribution

Media Release.

Tony Abbott confirmed again yesterday he plans to scrap the Low Income Superannuation Contribution worth up to $500 a year for people earning up to $37,000.

Under Tony Abbott's plan 3.6 million low income earners, including 2.1 million women, would pay $4 billion more tax while people with millions in their super accounts would pay no tax.

Labor is the party of superannuation – we invented it, we have nurtured it and grown it, and we will always protect it.
