THE
PIONEER CO-OPERATIVE
LABOUR
JOURNAL.
Editor
Elected: Responsible
for editorial
management to organised subscribers only.
Non-Profitmaking:
Owned by
co-operating Queensland Unions, who contribute per capita towards its
maintenance, the paper being improved as income rises.
No
Risk: Can suspend
publication any day without financial loss or publish a million
copies weekly without financially profiting any individual.
Outspoken:
having nothing to
gain or fear or lose either by plain speaking or abuse, the WORKER
has come to the front as an exponent of advanced labour thought.
Denounced:
The Queensland
Government, Parliament, Press and Commercial class generally, have
wildly denounced and vainly endeavoured to crush the WORKER. The
newspaper tax, when introduced, had this for its object, as was
announced in the Legislative Assembly by a Cabinet Minister. But the
WORKER still lives and grows. It is now read by all classes, and in
every part of Australasia.
