STUCKEY ‘DOESN’T GIVE A STUFF ABOUT SMALL BUSINESS’: REPORT

Media Release

The LNP’s Small Business Minister, Jann Stuckey, must explain why Queensland businesses should have confidence in her, following reported comments by a small business owner on the Gold Coast.
Shadow Small Business Minister Jackie Trad said Queenslanders were clearly losing trust in Campbell Newman and his cabinet after a long list of blunders.
“Comments from a local business owner in the Gold Coast Bulletin today that Jann Stuckey ‘doesn’t give a stuff about small business’* are worrying,” Ms Trad said.
“This is the same Minister who couldn’t explain how much or why the Newman Government spent money on advertising Sydney tourist destinations when they are supposed to be promoting local attractions."
“With the impending Commonwealth Games that were secured by the previous Labor Government, Queensland and the Gold Coast need a Minister they can have confidence in.
“Not one who doesn’t give a stuff about business."
“On top of this, we’ve seen several examples recently of the LNP gifting favourable contracts to big LNP donors."
“The LNP needs remember that they need to be a government for all Queenslanders, not just for LNP mates.”
