In short:

WYLD Projects, an environmental not-for-profit, found a record number of endangered turtle clutches this season along the Burnett River in the Bundaberg region.

It relocates freshwater white-throated snapping turtle eggs into predator-safe cages to help protect the next generation.

What's next?

More than 90 clutches were relocated, with about a dozen left to emerge in the coming weeks.
