In short:

The death toll from Venezuela's two earthquakes has risen to more than 1,700 people, the country's government says.

As a magnitude-4.6 aftershock hit the northern La Guaira state, Acting President Delcy Rodríguez announced "transitional camps" to house the homeless would be created.

What's next?

With the window for finding survivors shrinking, Venezuelans continue to comb through the ruins of buildings.
