Today
is World Environment Day – a global event designed to raise
awareness of the threats facing our planet.
The
LNP have arrogantly stated they’re the ‘greenest government’ in
Queensland’s history. However, over the past 15 months, Campbell
Newman has moved quickly and decisively to wind back environmental
protections, risking many of our most treasured natural assets,
including the Great Barrier Reef.
I
think today, of all days, it is important to reflect on Newman’s
unprecedented attack on our environment. That’s why I’ve launched
a campaign calling on Campbell Newman to act in the interests of all
Queenslanders and protect our environment for future generations –
but I need you to join with me.

send a clear message that there is nothing extreme about working
together for a more sustainable future.
