The administration has unveiled President Donald Trump’s first budget, including a proposed 31% cut in funding to the Environmental Protection Agency.
The cuts would remove funding for the Clean Power Plan and scrap all
climate change research programs and partnerships. White House budget
director Mick Mulvaney confirmed on Thursday that the new administration
had no interest in funding to combat climate change, saying: ‘We’re not
spending money on that any more. We consider that to be a waste of your
money’
